Two and a half years ago the idea of moving to France found me.  This dream filled my spirit, compelling me to go after it and attain it.  This goal was meaningful to me.  I saw myself becoming fluent in French, making new friends, experiencing a new culture, and expanding my perspectives in unimaginable ways.

Three days ago I moved to Perpignan, France and began living my dream! In the process of making my dream into a reality, in taking the steps to make it happen, many of my preconceived notions were challenged and my perceptions shifted, permanently. Because I wanted to achieve this meaningful goal, I saw things that hindered me as opportunities rather than as hopeless dead ends. As my perspectives changed, I made progress.  As I made progress, I felt better about myself and my ability to reach this goal.  My confidence soared.

These three concepts:  setting meaningful goals, shifting perspectives, and building self-confidence, which I detail in my book Growing Bold, are what facilitated my personal development and helped me realize my dream.  I know, from experience, that applying these concepts works.  I know in my heart that they can work for you too.

If you are inspired by my move to France, if you have a dream in your heart that seems out of your reach, listen to or read Growing Bold.  Do this as a gift to yourself and set the wheels of your dreams into motion!
