No Regrets Challenge- Day 3 (see August 3, 2018 on my Facebook page for video)

When was the last time you felt guided to make a decision based on gut instinct rather than on logic or reason?

It’s my final day in Berlin.  In fact, it’s the last day of my vacation.  It’s a vacation I wouldn’t have taken if I listened to my logic. When I rented my apartment in France for a year I was told that the last two weeks in July had already been rented and for those two weeks I’d have to find somewhere else to stay.  That wasn’t a problem.  I rented another place in Perpignan, but two months ago the owner of that second apartment contacted me and told me I’d have to find another place to stay because he was selling his apartment.

I immediately reflected back to a thought I had had when I was initially told that I’d need to find someplace else to stay during the last two weeks of July. And that was, maybe I’ll go on vacation of my own.  But I didn’t entertain that thought because back then I was brand new in France and I felt I needed some stability. But two months ago I was ready to make this trip.  I’m so glad that I listened to my intuition because I’ve learned so much.  I’ve grown so much. And I’ve explored some amazing places that I’ve never seen before

In yesterday’s no regrets challenge I asked you to set a goal that would help you reach a life vision so that you’ll have no regrets in the end.

Today’s request, if you haven’t already done this is to write down that goal.  The second thing I’d like for you do is to think about how you made that decision.  Was your decision based more in logic or was your decision based more on intuition?   Next I’d like for you to stop and think about the steps you’d need to take to start working toward this life vision and reflect on how thinking about that makes you fell. Does it make you feel Excited? Scared? Energized?  Lethargic?  How does it make you feel?  Write those feelings down.

That is today’s ask.  Please share if it was gut instinct or logic/reason that helped you make that decision. And you can also comment on those emotions you felt when you made the decision

Understanding our emotions and how we make our decisions really helps us to follow through on them.

I used to rely so much on my logic. I have a great example in Growing Bold about how I decided to take my first job out of college, which turned out to be an absolute nightmare. But now more and more I’m relying on my intuition and I’m so glad that I am trusting it because it has led me to these amazing places and to this amazing life that I am living.
